Behind The seams at Kate Edmondson Bridal Couture

working behind the scenes

Last year we started working on some new concepts and ideas for our bridal collection. which was captured by Rachel Vogeleisen photography

Rachel captured us developing one of our new designs in a calico toile. Which is an important stage in the design process. This is the stage which the design is perfected and fitted in terms of the design and desired fit of the garment

Here we are perfected the fit of the dress which carefully altered to achieve our desired look for the dress

All our bespoke wedding dresses are taken through this process to ensure the cut and fit of your wedding dress is perfected before it is made in your chosen fabric.  This stage of the bespoke process I really enjoy transforming your vision into a 3D form. This process can take 2-3 wedding dress fitting appointments.

All the seams are altered to achieve the desired fit

Here perfecting the neckline of the dress, each seam is meticulously fitted

All our brides can expect to experience their dream wedding dress ideas transformed to their real life wedding dress. We take them through the step by step couture dressmaking process. All our fabrics are carefully sourced to suit the style & cut of the wedding dress.  The entire process depending on the style of your wedding dress can take up to 6-9 months. Our civil ceremony dress can be made on a shorter lead time. Please check our availability.
