Ellie's Bespoke Wedding dress

Bespoke wedding dress service

We started Ellie's wedding dress process last year in October. Ellie booked a one to one bridal consultation to discuss her wedding dress with us. Ellie was very clear about what she wanted. Ellie described her dream wedding dress to me. I then produce a design sketch of exactly what she had described to me.

The next step was to produce a mock up version in calico of her wedding dress design. Her body measurements was taken. We then drafted a paper pattern using her body measurements. A calico toile of her wedding dress was made, this then formed the first draft of her wedding dress. The Wedding dress is then altered at this stage. This can take between 2-3 fittings depending on the design & complexity.

Once the dress was fully fitted and altered Ellie was invited back for her shell fitting. This is her wedding dress in the actual fabric chosen. We again check the fit and alter where necessary, before the lining and finishing of her wedding gown is completed. Buttons, zip etc.

Once Ellie is happy with the shell of her wedding dress we then complete the finishing process. Ellie will then attend another fitting to ensure is is happy with the finished wedding dress
