From the initial bridal consultation to your final fitting Kate will work with you at every stage to create your personal vision of perfection. Once your design has been chosen & agreed, Kate will begin the process of crafting it to perfection.
The design Process
From the initial bridal consultation to the final bridal fitting, we are dedicated to bringing your bridal vision to life. Our wedding gowns are fully bespoke, ensuring a perfect design & fit that flatters your unique body shape. Each bride’s body measurements are taken to create a pattern draft of your wedding dress design.
There are three to four follow- up fittings depending on the complexity of the wedding dress design, to ensure that the final cut & fit of your wedding dress has been perfected.
Calico toile
To ensure that every aspect of your wedding dress or bridal outfit is perfected we craft a calico toile of your wedding gown/ bridal outfit. A bridal couture technique method to meticulously tailor the gown or bridal piece to your unique physique.
After the initial pattern created from your body measurements is finished a calico toile (mock up version) of your wedding dress is made from calico. This process is to ensure the cut & fit along with the proportion of your wedding is perfected.
During the calico toile fittings, the pattern is adjusted shaped and sculpted, these alterations are then relayed back to the pattern. Before the wedding dress is cut in your chosen fabric.
