A Bespoke Three-Piece Wedding Dress | Modern Bridal Couture
Megan came to me with a vision for a bridal look that felt modern, elegant and entirely her own. Her wedding in France called for something beautiful and refined, but with enough versatility to take her effortlessly through the different moments of her celebration.
Together, we developed a bespoke three-piece bridal look, carefully designed around Megan, her personal style and the way she wanted to feel on her wedding day.
The main gown was created using traditional corset construction, giving the dress its beautiful structure and sculpted silhouette while allowing the fit to be refined specifically to Megan’s figure. The foundation was crafted in luxurious Mikado silk, with delicate French lace applied as an overlay to create depth, texture and a sense of understated romance.
The design process was an important part of Megan’s journey. Her bridal look took more than 150 hours of craftsmanship, developed over a period of nine months. This time included the design development, pattern cutting, construction and multiple fittings required to create the perfect fit, as well as the making of her complete three-piece bridal look.
The three pieces allowed Megan to transform her look throughout her wedding celebrations while retaining the elegance and continuity of the original design. Each element was created to work beautifully together, giving her the freedom to change her look while still feeling completely herself.
For me, this is at the heart of bespoke bridal couture. It isn't simply about creating a beautiful wedding dress. It is about taking the time to understand each bride, developing a design around her, and paying attention to every detail from the first sketch through to the final fitting.
Megan’s finished look was modern, feminine and quietly luxurious, combining structured corsetry, beautiful French lace and sumptuous Mikado silk to create a gown that felt both timeless and contemporary.
It was a privilege to create such a personal bridal wardrobe for Megan and to see the finished pieces become part of her beautiful French wedding.
