Discover modern bridal elegance with Kate Edmondson Bridal’s latest collaboration with L’Atelier Workshop at The Elvetham Bell Tower in Hampshire. Featuring two bespoke gowns a strapless silk satin Organza design and a bias-cut halter neck dress this styled shoot captures timeless sophistication for the modern bride.
The Concept and Setting
The Bell Tower at The Elvetham provided a setting of understated grandeur soft, neutral stone walls and romantic natural light filtering through historic windows. The styling embraced soft drapery, abundant florals, and a serene palette of ivory, blush, and delicate greens. Every element worked harmoniously to enhance the luxury and grace of the gowns we created.
This collaboration was born from a styled brief that celebrated modern bridal femininity minimalist in form, yet rich in texture and craftsmanship. The aesthetic perfectly suited our approach to bespoke bridal design: creating gowns that are effortlessly elegant and beautifully made, yet quietly impactful.
Look One: The Strapless Silk Satin Gown
Our first design for the shoot was a strapless silk satin gown overlaid with a fine organza layer, adding lightness and dimension. Around the neckline, we crafted a soft ruffle detail that framed the shoulders and décolletage, offering a subtle couture flourish. The gown was designed to float gracefully with movement, exuding romance and femininity while maintaining a modern sensibility.
This look is perfect for the contemporary bride who loves classic bridal style but wants a hint of something unexpected a tactile finish, a whisper of texture, a fresh twist on timeless elegance.
Look Two: The Bias-Cut Halter Neck Gown
The second gown, featured in this image, was a bias-cut halter neck dress in luxurious silk satin. The fabric’s natural drape and fluidity gave it a sensual silhouette, skimming the body effortlessly. The high neckline and open back created a striking contrast, merging sophistication with allure. Each detail from the delicate covered buttons to the clean, architectural lines spoke to the essence of refined simplicity.
This gown was designed for the modern bride who values quiet confidence and effortless glamour a statement of grace and individuality.
Styling and Atmosphere
The creative team styled the shoot to highlight contrast and harmony: sleek bridal silhouettes set against the romantic, historic backdrop of the Bell Tower. Flowing fabrics, candlelight, and soft floral installations surrounded the scene, bringing warmth and intimacy to the grandeur of the space.
The overall palette creams, soft whites, and touches of gold echoed the purity and timeless quality of the gowns. Each image captured not just the fashion, but the mood of a moment: poised, serene, and deeply romantic.
A Celebration of Collaboration and Craft
Being part of the L’Atelier Workshop was an inspiring experience a true celebration of creativity and craftsmanship within the bridal industry. The collaboration brought together a talented team of stylists, florists, photographers, and designers, each contributing to a shared vision of refined beauty.
Our gowns were designed specifically for this concept, with each fabric choice, cut, and detail carefully considered to reflect the elegance of the setting and the artistry of the shoot.
